To obtain a Certified International Property Specialist designation, continental real estate companies
will need an associate to take a series of courses. Some of the courses offered through the REALTOR® University are required; others are optional, but very much encouraged. The courses include Asia/Pacific and International Real Estate, The Americas and International Real Estate, Europe and International Real Estate, The Middle East/Africa and International Real Estate, NAR At Home with Diversity Certification Course, The Business of U.S. Real Estate, Business Planning & Marketing for the Residential Specialist, Creating Wealth through Residential Real Estate Investments, and Residential Real Estate Financial Analysis.
Other Requirements for Your Continental Real Estate Group
Your continental real estate services group will also need to have one of your associates acquire at least 100 points based on a set scale in other specified categories, including a minimum of three international real estate transactions and a multitude of other real estate experiences that will garner points. Other experiences that can help garner points include becoming an approved instructor in real estate education, working abroad or studying abroad for more than one year, and having a current membership in a cultural/international organization, to name a few.
